Claude says:Barns Courtney's breakout single came after years trapped in label limbo — he'd signed at 19, recorded multiple albums that couldn't be released, and was working retail when "Fire" landed in a Bradley Cooper film and blew up on streaming. It's strutting alternative rock with a bluesy swagger, all handclaps and howled hooks that sound bigger than their bones. You caught it right as it was breaking in mid-2016, gave the acoustic version a spin too, but never quite committed — four plays scattered across a decade suggests it made an impression without demanding more.
