Claude says:Band of Horses cut their Sub Pop debut in Seattle with a four-piece lineup of Carissa's Wierd refugees, originally chasing an ELO sheen before pivoting to something rawer — Ben Bridwell's voice soaring over guitars that shimmer and churn, lyrics he admits were half-hidden in the melody. You got into it in summer 2012, six years after release, and wore out "The Funeral" and "The Great Salt Lake" right away. It's been showing up again in waves ever since — a long gap, then a solid run in 2021–22, another in 2025, proof that Bridwell's ache still works whenever you need it.
