Claude says:Band of Horses nearly fell apart after their debut, with three founding members bailing before Ben Bridwell reassembled the lineup and recorded this second album in 2007 — it hit number 35 on the Billboard 200 and landed on Rolling Stone's year-end list, pulling them toward a rootsier, less indie-polished sound. You grabbed it a year after release in October 2008 and leaned hard into it through 2010, then let it drift until 2021 when it came back into steady rotation — "Is There a Ghost" and "No One's Gonna Love You" still anchor it, but you've also worn deep grooves in "Ode to LRC" and the wry kiss-off of "Detlef Schrempf."
