Claude says:Augustines started as We Are Augustines after the dissolution of Pela and the suicide of frontman Billy McCarthy's brother — a tragedy that haunts their 2011 debut Rise Ye Sunken Ships. You caught the title track once in mid-2017, a glimpse of their bruised, anthemic rock but nothing that stuck. The band itself called it quits in 2016, so this was a posthumous check-in on a group known for leaving the stage to sing in the crowd.
