311's ninth album landed in June 2009 after a four-year gap, produced by Bob Rock and debuting at #3 on the Billboard 200. You grabbed it right away that summer, riding "Hey You" and "It's Alright" hard alongside the sunnier cuts like "Never Ending Summer" and "Golden Sunlight" — a brief stretch of tour-worthy anthems that fit the moment but didn't stick around.
